If you haven’t heard about one of Honolulu’s best kept secrets-Now Hear This-

One of the puppets from the multi sensory extravaganza.

Aloha Lovely Reader,

I promised to keep you up to date on positive opportunities to engage your senses and boy do I have something to write home about.

Discover a menagerie of musical instruments, watch songs come to life through video and animation, and view prints and paintings that blur the boundaries between sight and sound. Spalding House‘s summer exhiibition explores the kinship of music and art. Includes works by Joan Miró, Wassily Kandinsky, James Whistler, Onchi Koshiro, Harry Bertoia, Jean Charlot, and Peter Chamberlain. There is an RSVP only reception hosted by gallery director, Stephan Jost, on Wednesday, June 26th 2013, 5-8pm. Space is limited so be sure to RSVP (spauldinghouse@honolulumuseum.org) early.

An oasis high above the hustle and bustle of Honolulu.

An oasis high above the hustle and bustle of Honolulu.

Even if you can’t catch this special evening of art,  be sure to visit the gallery and have a bite to eat in the totally laid back cafe surrounded by gorgeous garden greenery and artwork. Nestled in a pastoral residential neighborhood overlooking the city, it is a great place to escape the crowds and nourish your senses. The exhibition runs from June 18th to August 11th.

I hope to meet you there!
